Wireless Network
Hey people,
I have Redhat Linux 9 on my pc, and was just wondering how I can get my wireless adapter to connect to my router.
Sorry if this is a noob question, but I'm useless with Linux.
Thanx, Daed.
You'll need to install ndiswrapper then the drivers to your card, if it's a broadcom chip. Google for your card "redhat". It should turn up helpful information. :)
Then you just use gnome's network management(or whatever your wm comes with) to change the settings.

You should also look into getting a newer distribution at some point. RH9 is ancient and probably lacks the drivers and/or kernel support to get newer cards working.
I have a broadcom card and have used ndiswrapper with pretty good success. I just happened across this project to write native drivers the other day. Not really helpful for this topic, since they don't work yet, but there's hope for a native driver for broadcom users!
