[C++] TagLib for music metadata - anyone already extended?

Hi I've recently created a more Windows friendly build of this: http://developer.kde.org/~wheeler/taglib.html with the Visual Studio projects and all that. The library is a cross music-file metadata manager (get and set artist info, etc). It is exceptionally easy to use compared to other implementations I've seen around, and clean too... the original author should be proud! I've noticed though that it does not support custom tags, and I was wondering before I consider extending taglib myself if anyone has come across a LGPL or similar closed-source friendly extension of this library that supports custom tags such as "email" etc. To keep in line with the library licence requirements of making changes public, I was considering putting this Window port up on SourceForge or something - though I've not done anything like that before.
