he still posts news from time to time and he even replies to email if he has the time to. But I can totaly understand him taking down the contact link. It's time for us to take up the support NeHe did. Thats what this forum is for after all.
why doesn't he make this site like nexe where anyone can edit and change it. That would be a good way to kkep it going if no one person would take full ownership.

My guess is that NeHe will be back, he just needs a few months to figure some stuff out.

He's done this before where he has left for awhile and then comes back and makes a few updates.

GDNET is a drug remember, you can't help but to come back :)

yeah ive been here a while but not signed in till this year so i know quite a bit about his situation. i just hope he comes back and has a shiny new job as a programmer cause he deserves it!!!
Respect to NeHe!
Thanks to him, I got myself all addicted to OpenGL and programming on my PC... I still remember my first spinning triangle,
Thanks dude!
100% agree.

This site with its tutorials and the board contains an unbelievable huge amount of knowledge.
From not knowing what OpenGL actually is, to my first little 3D Engine - I was able to teach everything myself just by typing "http://nehe.gamedev.net" from time to time :D

Thanks!

I would like to support your arguments and say that NEHE's web site was one of the best learning resources for me... Moreover, I liked his personal news, and I was glad to know such a hard working person...

I just hope him good luck in his life, and hopefully he would find a good job that he desrves...
ditto
NeHe has helped me from not knowing opengl to actually codeing a game in a short period of time. Thanks NeHe
Nene introduced me to game programming. His site was my first burst into game programming. Long live Nehe!

No, he's saying he opened it in his web browser. GameDev owns NeHe's site (more or less [wink])

Gamedev.net hosts Nehe's site, but does not own the content. NeHe does.
