Hmm...what if the members of GDNET get together and try to raise a little $$$ to help nehe and his debt. After all I'm sure, most of us have found his site useful from time to time and probably own him in some fashion anyway.

This is just a thought. With as many members as GDNET has, I'm sure if we just gave $5 each it would be a significant contribution.

Also, by all means, send emails and messages of support. I am a long time member of FBPRO Football leagues online, and each year the commissioners of these leagues take the same beating that an owner of a site like NEHE's takes. You see leagues fold over such things; however, the one thing that helps keep the good leagues together is the show of support after all the long hours these guys put in.

Bottom Line....SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR NEHE!!
The contact link has gone whats his address??
his address may have been removed for a reason? ..

perhaps we could have a single thread solely for post supporting NeHe?

that way he can see them if he wishes.. yet not have a flooded inbox lol
We (GameDev.net) will have an announcement about all this soon.

Really? Hmmm - wonder what that could be. . . (you can tell me - I won't tell anyone else) :)

Anywho - I really do hope that NeHe does come back - he has been through some crap luck - but he is an Icon in the OpenGL community, and it would be ashame to lose him.

I can definitly understand him wanting to take some time off though. . .

All of us agree: Nehe, you are the master.

Almost all of us begins the log journey of programming a game reading and testing by hours the easy, cleaner and best OpenGL tutorials that I never have seen before on my live, kindly given by NeHe without money cost.
I have no words to thanks.

I must say, if every man do this, maybe computer programming jumps to 100x more powerful that in the steps what going. Nehe tutorials make you learn by zero to a OpenGL engine programmer in a few weeks.

For all, I have Nehe a hero. Really thanks, NeHe, and if you read this, I'll tell only the truth that all know.

Some to add: Unfortunately, this is what happens with almost all great minds. The market is full of graphical tools, where is used by big game enterprises.
So, minds as NeHe isn't employed because he simply creates a way of ANYONE create a game with same potential, and it's a concurrency for them. NeHe is good, really good, and don't deserve to pass by any difficulty.
I do hope Jeff, Nehe, is also well and that nothing dramatic, in the area of being bad, has happened.

He is the reason I actually started Opengl programming and actually appreciating the fact that it is truely hard work to replicate and create effects.

As an addendum to the poster above, bad things usually happen to the truely wonderful people in this world. There are a few exceptions, but most are left to face odds themselves without the appearant aid of others. All one can do it hold on and hope that may one day relief come to them.
