So I don't have to read through your whole post, Raduprv, which linux distro do you think is the best ever? Casually looking for one with no effort atm.

He liked Gentoo the best.
SlimDX | Ventspace Blog | Twitter | Diverse teams make better games. I am currently hiring capable C++ engine developers in Baltimore, MD.
I'm currently running Ubuntu and it's a very nice distro. It actually got my integrated wireless card working automatically, and it detected I was a laptop and set up the battery monitor, which also works correctly. Of course my USB mouse and Ethernet also worked instantly, and sound too.

It uses Gnome, and I think it's much worse than KDE, but I can always install KDE myself (and will).

Then I was about to install XP on it, when I went to distrowatch.com to see if there is anything new. There I found Mepis.

Ok, Ive found one :

But now the big question is , whats the difference between the memphis and memphis pro versions??? (the pro seems to be newer)
Hehe, it's Mepis, not Memphis.

Come on, dont make me hit ctrl+r for an answer, and find only a typo correction, lol
The live CD has the option to install it on the HDD, if you want. So it's both. Try to get the latest version, the test one (mine is 3.3.test03)
Theres already an stable version

Oh, nice :)
Just 2 days ago I downloaded the test version, and it was very stable.
