How can i take a rectangular graphic and make it into an iso graphic? I would use an angled map. thnx
You need to do your graphics isometric to begin with. I don''t believe there is any way to rotate a rectangular graphic so that it becomes iso. But, if you are doing your graphics in 3D then you can rotate your camera. Other than that . . .

Hm... most graphics programs allow full rotation and skewing... With a bit playing around it should be no problem.

You could write your own custom blit function. Have a look at the article at www.mr-gamemaker.co.uk for an example.

Take a look at the excellent article on using Direct3d for 2d games. You can find it under the "Previously featured articles" link on the main page. It shows you how to do exactly what you''re asking using hardware accelleration.
Good luck!
