Two songs for review
These are for my game The ARC Legacy
Towns 1MB - Some generic "towns" music
The Desert 1.2 MB - Music for the post-apocalyptic desert wasteland that is the overworld.
Personally, I think there's something a little wrong about the mix in the towns music but I can't identify what exactly.

So...
Both of them are quite nice...
The second - desert - is more clear. The instrumets sounds very good together, there is specific climate.
"Towns" has interesting fluet melody...
As I wrote before: songs are nice, but keep working... :)

I'll start with the desert:
I like the way you've mixed soothing and anxious melodies together without having one dominate the other. All in all, both of your pieces are much fuller than game music usually settles for. Good job. They're a little on the short side to be repeated as background music, but I'm sure you knew that already.
As for the town, I'll go by timestamps:
0:19, when the bass drums (?) come in, it's a bit strong. I'd bring down the volume on them.
~0:39 when the flute comes in, it too is a bit overpowered. But as far as instrument choice, it's very nice, compliments the build up well, good job.
1:06, et. all: the drum rolls feel really out of place. I don't know what I suggest toi replace them, but as it is it doesn't mesh well with the mood developing in the first minute.
1:18 I like the sudden drop , it works very well. All in all the piece has a wonderful buildup and release.
Aside from the obvious concerns of looping and length, I dare say these are one of the better pieces I've heard for background music in games, and if I do say so myself again, I am a conneseur (who, incidentally, can't spell).

I see you're a Xenogears fan. :) Your game reminds me of it.
Both songs are good, keep on working at it.

Yeah, I agree about the bass drums. That was kind of laziness on my part. I should have put the bass drums in a separate track without reverb.
I'm also going to be re-recording the guitar and flute parts once I get a nice condenser mic.

I found that both songs had very clear and crisp percussion. however the other tracks were not as clear, you could say kinda muffled.
There was also some timing issues.
all in all they were not to bad.

I listened to both of them and they are pretty good.
I have a quick question for you - what software/hardware did you use to create them? I am becoming more and more interested in music creation.

Hey Moe,
What type of music did you want to get into? Do you have any musical background? have you ever played a keyboard?
There's many different ways to go about making music.
I use Sonar www.cakewalk.com with a Yamaha keyboard. I also have tons of other goodies but that is the main meat and potatos of my setup.

The following comments are not written to hurt anyone, I'm just trying to be helpful by showing you another view, a musician's view.
***Desert.mp3***
This song is really good and suitable for a Desert scene - kind of reminded me of Diablo (Diablo2-the first act) and Godsmack. Though this is a nice composed and arranged track, the guitars could be recorded better than that (try using a microphone to the amplifier). Also, towards the end, you could try playing different chords - one chord is not entertaining. Overall: 9/10
***Town.mp3***
I'm sorry to say this, but this sounds more like a love song - and a cheesy one. If there is not any love in the town, please do not use this one. Though again nicely composed, this cannot be a town song. Overall: 2.5/10
The games look very good, I congratulate you and wish you success for the games. (If you need any help for recording, composing, I'll be more than glad to help you out.)
