Good thing this anon comes back. You know because i leave the contrast on my screen so dark,it actually looks like the little nicks and cuts at the end of the wrist is fur and i looks some what brown.Go fig?.
Well, it's not done yet, but I didn't want to see this thread die off!
Sorry it's a poor quality image, but you get the idea of what it is. When I finish it, I'll edit this and put the good one up, although that may be awhile since school started this week.
EDIT: here's a slightly newer pic w/better lighting

Wow!... Did you use bump-mapping on the scales, because they look really good.
One thing though, his neck is so straight, it looks like he has swallowed a pipe .

Colored sketch. She has legs and shes holding guns but I decided to crop the image instead of resizing it (to keep it small without destroying it)

Hello... I am interesting in creating small (1" X 2") or ( 1/2" X 1" ) figures for characters in my game.
I make little sketches in class that i could use, but i''m not sure if scanning is a possibility (i mean i have a scanner but it just seems like that''s probably not the way to do it). if anyone has a suggestion to get these little guys onto my computer i would appreciate..
Or .. Is there just some sort of pen program? or something that will allow me to draw freehand?

Ha ha, I know the neck sucks, I''m still working on it. I did add some horns today and I''ve started planning an animation for it.
I took a basic leather texture(which was white), and put it in the ambiant, specular, and bump maps. Then I took a copy of the texture, colored it a dark red and used for the diffuse color.
On top of all that, I then took a bright red for the basic color.
Hope that made sense

Wolfmanyoda: The hair on the side seems quite detailed, how did you do that?
I did the hair the hard way
Since I''m using free software, it doesn''t do fancy things like cloth, hair, particle effects,.....
So what I did was take the pen and draw up 4 or 5 lines with slightly different curves and lengths. I then turned them into paths, made a very, very small 2D circle, and extruded it along the paths to make actual "hairs". Then I duplicated the hell out of them, rotated them differently to try and hide the fact that there is only 5 different ones, and then grouped them together when I got it the way I wanted.
The bad thing is it slows the ''puter **way way** down. I only have 128MB RAM, and it sucked it dry fast.
The way I get around that is to place the two sets of whiskers where they should go on the face, then cut them out and keep them in a separate file. Then I can still work on other parts (like the horns) and just import the fur right before I render.
Hope that helps!

Oh yeah, I forgot...
The other bad thing is it that it can''t be used for an in-game model. Maybe for an FMV or something, but with the way I did the hair, the poly count is unbelievable

Hay Biere et punk i like you your pic. it''s weird and different which makes it stick out a little more the line sketching look great almost as if you drew it on paper then stuck it on to the forum for us to see.
