There are a lot of brand new gameconsoles out there. I thing I''ll choose XBox for the easiest way to program any game under it. Do you think so? Is XBox''s game programmed under DirectX?

As far as I know, the XBox will be programmed using DirectX 8. A lot of the new features (vertex and pixel shaders and such) in DX8 seem to be optimized for the use with the XBox and nVidias newest GPU. You probably have to be a registered MS XBox developer to get all the goods for XBox development, though.

Get da DirectX book and start learnin'', but I think you should know DirectX programmin'' already. Yeah, guess you gotta pay a bit before you start off.
