Jump out ai

i am trying to make a engine where the player gets to a certain point the enemy jumps out of the bushes or trees and attacks the player and It is a 3rd person shooter.

I haven't started on the engine i need alot of help. It is going to be in C++

What do you need help with? Can you give some more detail?
You could have it when the player gets to his certain point, he steps on a trigger. This trigger spawns the enemy, and you spawn him with a sideways velocity. When the velocity kicks it, the enemy jumps out, and then the AI kicks in, shooting at the player. I'd do it like that.

That trigger can simply be radius based.
