I''m learning 3D programming and I want a 3D file format that is easy to load and use. Any suggestions? +AA_970+
Make your own :-) like most game programmers.

That would require me to make by own modeler(which is too big of a project + i can''t make 3D models) or make a converter (it which case i still have to learn a pre-existing format). So making my own format is not exactly the answer i''m looking for.

Caligari''s COB files are pretty easy to figure out, I wrote my first converter for those just by looking at the ASCII version of the output object. If you don''t want to do that, check out http://www.flipcode.com, the current Code Of The Day is for a 3DS file loader, and it''s pretty compact. Plus, check out http://www.wotsit.org just in case you decide to write your own converter and need help with file formats.
Thanx the COB file format seems to be what i''m looking for.
