Ok, I apologise if this is in the wrong forum, but its the closest I could find. I have a MPEG movie that I would like to dub over part of the sound with an MP3 that i have, how would I go about this, and what application(s) should I be look for? Many thanks for your replys.

Pretty much any video editing application will allow you to overdub existing video. Try the free version of Avid Free DV over at http://www.avid.com/freedv/index.asp

The learning curve is pretty steep (as with any any of the Avid MediaComposer-based products), but it should do what you want.
