the only good one i know is Quantify from Rational Rose,
but it''s not free. But I think they still give you the
chance to download a 30 day evaluation copy, and then you
can decide later to buy or not.

Sorry i think the companies name is only RATIONAL.

Intel has some profiling tools that seem to be pretty good, but again they are not free: VTune, Graphics Performance Toolkit (profiling OpenGL/DirectX), etc.

VC++ 5 includes a profiler.. unless you have the learning edition. I''ve found it decent enough for my needs.

I haven''t been able to use the Profiler that comes with VC++ 5. I''ve enabled profiling and map file generation, but I don''t get any info from the profiler. How are you using it?

But I really need a free profiler....
I could use the MSVC profiler but it doesn´t work....AND I have the professional edition!!!!
It misses some files and If I want to use the profiler I´ll have to reinstall MSVC and I really don´t want to do that....Maybe I can find the missing files on my MSVC-CD,I´ll have a look....I never cared about this one ´cause people told me the MSVC-profiler would suck but look at RWarden´s post....Seems this isn´t true....Perhaps for all those hardcore game-professionals but as RWarden I only need a basic(Not the language) profiler....
