Another possible reason why rpg''s aren''t ever finsihed, by the time you''re done coding a deal of it (say 3/4 of the engine) you''ve learned so much that you can really see how poorly coded the rest of the engine is and thus making working on or expanding the game further near impossible.

After you''ve done that learn al the shit you don''t know but need to know to implement the design, and than start coding.

heh, thing is it was made when I was super naive and just plain not proficient at coding. I''m sure this will probably only happen a few times or less during the lifetime of a coder because you learn so much with each new project and there''s only so many mistakes that can be made .

Finally! I''m bored to like RPG''s alone! Unfortunately, I''m just begginnig mine. The only strange thing is: Why do you like crappy ones? If you want these, download a game boy emulator and get some Final Fantasy''s. FFIII is nice but there''s one (I think it''s II) is just a crappy one...

Graphics don''t make the game.

FF2 IS rather popular because it''s still a good game (graphics aren''t the best, but FF2 (US) is actually FF4 (JP) and Square got a chance to improve skills and art between FF2 (US) and FF3 (US), (FF6 JP), with FF5 (JP).)
