Hi, i found that the development tool Source Navigator, which i am using for a long time, is now available as Open Source at the following ftp address: ftp://ftp.freesoftware.com/pub/sourceware/sourcenav/releases/binaries/ This tool is really worth a look because it can do a lot of useful things. I used it when i got the task to extend a program of about 700 000 lines of code, and nearly no comments in the code. All you have to do with it is to tell him where the root directory of the code is. It then uses a fuzzy parser to fiddle out the class relations and so on. After that you can navigate through the code very easily. It works for C++, Java (and also Fortran ???). By the way it is nearly complete written in TCL/TK which is the fastest and flexible and portable scriptlanguage i know. Have fun. cu Peter
