Ive been programming a nice little game... 3d (with 2d backgrounds), strategy, rpg, kingdom building, etc. i can make models, sound effects, and program everything, but i''m no good at making skins and 2d artwork! its terrible, i''ve got this great game but it looks like crap... I was wondering if anyone knows of any free downloadable software that makes decent sprites and skins,where you dont have to actually draw them. Oh, and if anyone has any free artwork to offer, i''d like to take a look at it. thanks.

You should try the help wanted forum. You''d be surprised how many artists might lend a hand to a project that is nearing completion.

I use it for UIs. You can buy it ($25) or just make your button, hit the Print Screen key, goto Paint and hit paste then clip the button out of the image. I used to do this until I broke down and bought it; the developer deserved the money anyways.
