Hope I spelt that right. Anyways how exactly did you become a moderator. I know that you contibute to Game Dev so are you all just a large group of friends, did you have to apply, or did you just become immensley popular on the mesage boards. Just curious. Don''t feel obligated to tell me personal stuff if you don''t want to. Thanx In Advance STVOY Mega Moh Mine!!
Heh, this is going to be really off topic and I'm probably going to get killed for this, but aw... what the heck.

When I saw this post, the first thing that came to my mind was that this guy was gonna say something mushy to fel

I mean, what kinda topic is that? A more informative one would have been "How do you become a moderator" or something in that manner.

Must be the fever I'm having at the moment...

I don''t know about Felisandria, but I can tell you how I became a moderator. It started with a thread where people was wondering why I didn''t have my own forum. Someone (I think it was nes8bit) started joking about me already having a forum, namely the DX/OGL forum since I have spent so much time answering questions there. The conversation continued and Dave Astle happened to read the thread and decided to ask if I wanted to be the moderator for the forum since the previous one was only supposed to be a temporary one and wasn''t very active. After some time of thinking I accepted. So in effect you could say that I was elected by the members here. This happened just a few weeks ago.

AngelCode.com - game development and more - Reference DB - game developer references
AngelScript - free scripting library - BMFont - free bitmap font generator - Tower - free puzzle game

NNNgh. I hate it when the stupid doubleclick ads are down, I neglect to hit stop and lose all my post data.

Anyway....
I was very active over at GPMega before Gamedev.net was even created. When Dave and the guys decided to make Gamedev, Dave asked me if I would moderate a forum for them. I agreed, so here I am *smile*

Time to pay nes8bit to start joking around again. Just kidding!

These are interesting stories, everybody makes it to the top somehow.

When this site was first created, they had a public message asking for moderators. I think anyone could be one if they had asked to be a moderator early enough.

yeah i kinda wondered what happened to GPMega, too. before it went down, Matt elected me to be one of the news guys who updated the news on the frontpage every day. I was able to do it a couple of times, but I was having computer trouble, so I couldn''t get online much. Next thing I know, i come back and GPMega is gone.

I think what could have happened was that Matt just got tired of updating the site and scrapped it... i could be wrong though..
