Handling Input
I''m currently in the process of writing my own game and right now I am trying to figure out how I will handle my inputs and such. I got like my movement all set, but now it''s the actual commands and chat that I want to handle since I''m writing a small online RPG, however impossible that seems. But I was wondering the best way to take in inputs for my chat. I thought about about going through each character and adding and subtracting it from a character array but that just seems kind of unnecessary. So does anyone have a better way to get inputs without it being such a big thing and not having to wait for inputs.
