As far as I''m aware, there is currently no such project. A good alternative might be to select a library that is cross platform, and can be used on both Windows and Linux to begin with, unlike DirectPlay. You may possibly wish to consider Apple''s OpenPlay (http://developer.apple.com/darwin/projects/openplay/), or consider using standard sockets instead.
