I have MathCAD, Mathematica, MatLab and Scientific Notebook. Under the theory that you can never have too many math packages I''m thinking about getting Maple. I''m wondering what others thoughts and opinions of it are?

Those are quite expensive programs. Are you sure you bought all of them?

We used matlab and maple at uni. I preferred Maple, mainly cause it had a nicer interface (in my opinion).

If I had my way, I''d have all of you shot!

Being a 40 year old student has a couple of advantages. A) I''m not broke; B) I get a student discount. Piracy is a big problem on campus, but at least I don''t contribute to it.

Maple is ok, not great though. I prefer mathematica to it.
