Sigh. I really should build a horror game.
As I look over my meager portfolio, it seems that the horror-themed art is superior to the non-horror art. Even when I''m not trying. Weird, because I''m not really a horror fan.
Here''s a model I''ve been trying to get right. The proportions are all wrong, and the head is too small. It sucks, I know.
Someone asked me how it was built, so I pulled the skin layer off the arms and legs:
and it looks creepy as hell. See what I mean? Is horror art easier to make, or is it just me?
Jswing
Well horror is easier because there are no guidelines. A zombie doesn''t need to be proportionate, it''s supposed to look screwed up anyways. Monsters can be anything you want them to be.
But if you try to make a realistic human, everyone will catch every little mistake right away because we know what they''re supposed to look like.
