Hi, I''ve got the chance to buy ''3D studio max r2'' very cheap, but could anyone tell me if I''ll be able to use it with directX 7 or 8 (i.e. can r2 files be properly converted to X files with the ''conv3ds'' utility or similar)?

3D Studio R3 is most definitely compadible and there''s a strong chance R2 is as well. 2.5 is I think is compadible because some website talk about it and DirectX 7/8. There''s still a chance, why not test it out?
