you started out saying it would have a sense of urgency because "critical system files" are at stake... but then said that the virus would be wiped ASAP then the game played safely... kinda contradictory.
I don''t want to gamble my computer. As the allegro.cc people say, you get quite a spiritual time when your computer dies...

There''s a virus called ''Casino.'' When it infects your computer, it overwrites the MBR, so when you boot up it takes control. It then gives you three tries to guess the author''s name, and if you don''t succeed, it erases your FAT tables. Not really a problem these days, but you get the point.
