Cheating poker (a variant we played in college). There is some skill in cheating without getting caught; but mostly, it''s about the fun.

Aaaah cheating in games, my favourite if I am playing with a group of friends (''cause I dont risk being beaten up). Not that I love cheating as such, but rather the skills it takes to get away with it, win, and still looks as innocent as a newborn
My favourite game for cheating has to be Monopoly (well, it''s not a card game, I know).
But cheating in card games is not as fun, for some reason (mostly ''cause I enjoy the tactical aspects much more)

My favorite game is a solitaire game called Eight Off. It''s as mind-boggling as chess, but doesn''t require an opponent.

Basically, there are 8 piles of six each, and 8 empty slots. Four of those slots are filled at the start. Then there are four piles where you stack each suit. All cards are face up.

Each move you can move a card on the top of each pile or in one of the slots to a)one of the eight empty slots, b)the top of another pile whose top card is the same suit and one number greater or less than the card being moved(ace is least; no wrapping), c)if the card is an ace, to an empty stack, or if the card is a king, to an empty pile.

The instructions are really hard to read, but very easy to play if someone teaches you.
Yeah s**thead is a fun card game, I played it a lot with my friends, when I was at a Uni in the North of France and we hadn''t yet worked out where the best places to go were.

WHAT !? You were in France and didnt play Tarot ?
Tarot is my absolute favourite card game for team play (usually 4, 1 against 3, but my favourite if 5, 3 against 2, although it''s not the most practised)

What about favorite drinking games? I don''t mean that you play it while you drink (Though you could make a game like that, but after awhile you''d puke from looking at the screen, I know), but have have alcohol points or something like that. There are so many drinking games, and no one has really made a computer game form them

It''s gotta be strip poker.
''Shithead'' was a good game, although I have totally forgotten how to play it. I also vaguely remember playing another game called ''Pig'' which seemed to be a very quick way to wreck a pack of cards. It was fun though.

''Speed'' is another good game. Requires very good hand-eye coordination, and very quick thinking. However, my girlfriend cheats horribly.

We also used to play a game called ''Cheat''. It was a variant on BlackJack I think, but you were actively encouraged to cheat as much as possible, but not get caught. Another highly entertaining game.

There is also a lot to be said for more traditional games. Canasta, Bridge, Hearts, etc. are all excellent.

A very interesting game based on a deck of cards was described by Bernard Werber ( a French author whose book "the ants" was translated in quite a few languages, so maybe you heard about him?) in one of his books was this (can''t remember the name of the game) :
A guy takes the role of the quizzer, the other has to guess.
The quizzer simply put a card a time on the table following a rule/pattern he chooses for himself, one card at a time.
The guesser has to find out what the pattern is in the less numbe of guesses... simple ? Give it a try I am sur a multiplayer variant ould be possible although I never tried.

I find that game quiet original, although admittedly the cards are just an excuse.
