Hello and welcome to this weeks Dev Diary, the short version!

Last week was a slow start after the vacation, which consisted of pondering and improving upon the following game mechanics;

  • Resource gathering and logistics - trying to find a balance with natural but enticing experience with resource gathering and logistics.
  • Ruler mechanics - Weighing ruler ability systems; between a rigid restriction system and a more dynamical tyranny system and which is more efficient to implement and more fun to play.
  • Investigations on a possible coding language - Found out something about a programming language called “Julia”, a language that tries to be as simple as Python, but as fast as C -language. Still need to find out ways to use it as an aiding code-base in Unity and/or Unreal games and weigh if it is important to learn the language at this stage of development.
