Last post of the decade
Been extremely busy working on EOTH and on my many (book) projects, and wasn't planning on making a blog entry any time soon. However–somewhere along the way–I've gotten a bit distracted, and made something completely unexpected; as you'll find out shortly!
I've barely started working on the next item on my list–your tertiary weapon of choice–when the idea of an obsidian artifact came to be: Two Serpent Dragons, who fought against the will of a lone Viking; one that patiently awaited their fate. Not entirely sure why, but I felt obligated to make this . . . ***wink*** Wanted to make something that was out of the ordinary, and had carried a strong massage; but was also handmade, and had all the imperfections of a novice–or you know, I just wanted to make up some excuses for my inability to sculpt realistic and organic models. [There's some truth to both sides! :)]
At first, I wanted to replace the original dagger with this "ceremonial" one, but the more I thought about it, the more it clashed with the current overall design. Instead, I decided to keep it as a concept piece (not making it into a usable object yet, just keep it in its high poly state, for the time being), and maybe make it so that you might actually find it in the demo; somewhere hidden, in a secret sarcophagus of some sorts. Who knows . . . it might have some magic capabilities to fight off those pesky-little beasts from the underworld!
Also, I wanted to thank for everyone who followed me on my journey thus far–here and on Twitter, and every other social media I'm on–and I hope, truly hope–fingers crossed–that I'll be able to present you with a usable demo, in the foreseeable future! Thank you again, and without further ado, I'd like to present one screen cap, and two renders I've quickly put together; to showcase this weapon of great significance!
