Hi, How many fps must a reasonably smooth AVI-playing have? I mean as smooth as you don''t get annoyed when playing the game. I''m planning to show some AVIs in my game and want to know what fps I should have in mind when programming. Is 15fps enough? or maybe 30fps? Thanks in advance, Newbie

The average human detects a switch from smooth to sloppy framerates at about 15 fps. So if I were you I would bet on 20 fps and your safe. But ofcourse it also depends on the quality of your graphics, the resolution of your graphics, and the time you are willing to spend on them.

More is better but 18 is the minimum imho.

Well, since the NTSC standard of video-recorders are 30 fps and the PAL standard is 25 fps, so somwhere between 30-40 fps would be great
