3D or 2D Textures
Hey, I'm making some textures for 3D or 2D models. I just wanted to know what you people would like to see more of. I already have a few. Pretty common ones, but I'm going to be making some tile ones too. Most of them will be seemless. I'll make textures for creates ot boxes and stuff like that. Is any one intrested? They will be made in Adobe PhotoShop, but I'll be using BMP, GIF, of JPEG for there formats. Unless some one wants different.
Any questions, comments or request? I would like to here them.

I''m not really looking for textures but you might want to consider using PNG format for distribution.
GIFs are 8 bit (256-color) only, JPEGs are lossy compressed (usually) and BMPs are just too damn big because they usually use no compression at all. PNG supports 24 bit color + alpha information, has pretty good compression and no loss.

Thanks, I wish I would have known that ahead of time. I already have 25 textures in BMP format. I''ll convert them, but they are a open format right? I mean, there on the web, so they must be supported by different operating systems.
I have a few rock tiles adn street tiles. I also have some wood textures but no metal yet. What type of textures are you people looking for when you try and find some? All of my textures are in 64x64 squares and there seamless.

Well, I just got the textures converted to PNG format. WWE came on so I had to watch Trish Stratus. I''m thinking about making some sprite textues too. Like some skin textures and maybe some eyes and stuff. I want to make some object textures besides just world textures.
All of my textures are in 64x64 right now but I''m going to make some bigger and smaller ones. I''m thinking 32x32, 32x46, 46x46, 46x64, ect. I''ll stop at 100x100 or something.
The real big texture I''ll make are for big objects. Like huge doors and walls. Thangs that need special textures. I''m not sure on sizes but I''ll check around and get some info.
I''v decided to put programming aside right now for a while. I want to do graphics and stuff for a bit. So I hope you guys will like the textures, or find something to use them for....

Ok, there was a problem while the conterting to PNG format. The true colors of the image wern''t being shown. Its like some one tried to convert them to 8 bit textures in MS paint. But PhotoShop was the only one that would show the actal images the way they were supose to be.
I''m going to make all the textures in different formats. So some one could use any for mat thay want. I have all of them in BMP, JPG, PCX, and PNG. I''m going to convert them to gif98 too. Because there almost no change if any when photoshop converts thangs to gif format. They pictures look as goos as the did before.
I was thinking about making some PXR or PSD copies to. Because the PhotoShop image format is realy bad ass and can do alot. I''m trying to think of all the texture formats the a 3D mofler would want or accept. So the person using the textures and download them for that program.
I''ll be splitting thangs up into groups. The first groups will be the type of file formats. Then the textures will split up into cataglories. Thangs like land, with will have textures for dirt, grass and stuff like that. Theres will be Rock, Metal, Land, Wood and liquid textures. All of those will be in the enviorment directory. Thangs like Skin, Eyes, Hair and Blood will be in the life directory. Every thang else from soup to nutts wil be in the object directory. I''ll try to split thang into easy to find directoris as best as I can. I''m going to make a HTML interface describing the textures and showing samples. I hope to get a few modles to renf them with. So all in all you get a better look at what you want.
