Pathfinding in a vector environment
I am looking to use pathfinding in our Game called Storm (you can see it at http://www.tashco.com/storm.html
All the units, buildings and trees will be positioned on the map given an x,y vector position and not a tile position.
Does anybody have any ideas on have to use A* for this problem because most people tent to use it for grids or hex maps.
Maybe there is a better algorithm that A* under the circumstances?
