Good game programming book
Could some of you suggest a good game programming book. I need one which covers details about the tecnichs used for game programming, double buffering, collision detection and so...
Thanks
Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus is a very good book, by Andre LaMothe, SAMS publishing.
For programming I rate Windows Game Programming for Dummies by Andre Lamothe (Guru), it''s a brillant book.
For programming techniques, any book will do, as the platform makes no difference since the method is the same. For example, if you wanted to program a Invaders type game, do it in DX or DOS, the principle is the same. I would recommend PC Game Programming by Dave Roberts. It''s old but does cover the topics you would like to learn.
I basically learned by reading lots of articles. Give me you email address and I will send you some articles that I have accumulated over 2/3 years. They cover all platforms but essentially do the same thing.

WOW!!! What a response - Thanks guys (and girls if any)
Since you all asked very nicely, how can I refuse.
I will get together some of the best ones and email them by the weekend.
BTW, any of you interested in helping me in programming?
Just one condition - COMMITMENT
If we start - we finish
Is that fair?
Thanks

PS I am not fussy about your skills, you can be novice or expert, everyone is welcome.
