I''m learning to program in VS 6.0 right now. But, I want to get a new VS for my own. When I look up compilers though, only the .net comes up. Can I program what I have been doing in VS.net??? ---------------------- Always will be smarter than you, --=ME=-- ----------------------

If you are talking about C++, you can do everything you have been doing in VC++6 and more in VS.NET. If you''re a VB user, you''ll probably be in for a shock, since they have redesigned the entire language(its actually a real language now). Visual Interdev is out, Visual Foxpro is out. Visual J++ is out, but you can get VJ# if you want to do .NET with a "java-like" syntax.

And of course, theres always C#...

The computer was conceived as a tool to reduce complexity. Some people found this loss of complexity unacceptable, and developed UNIX to amend the situation.

I beleive that FoxPro rests in peace with dBase, DataEase, Clipper and the many other similar Database tools and languages. I suppose it would be correct in saying that their ultimate successor (to date) is Borland Delphi (I also suppose some may disagree with that statement)
