LOL, I dig the graphics and the name for your game Jonathan. I always was partial to tongue in cheek shooters, like Parodius. Im considering working on a ''metal slug'' style game soon, and I hope I can find an artist that can help me put lots of amusing animation into the game.

Holy smokes, there''s a second olive-themed game in the world!

Here''s my version.

(my byline from the Gamedev Collection series, which I co-edited) John Hattan has been working steadily in the casual game-space since the TRS-80 days and professionally since 1990. After seeing his small-format games turned down for what turned out to be Tandy's last PC release, he took them independent, eventually releasing them as several discount game-packs through a couple of publishers. The packs are actually still available on store-shelves, although you'll need a keen eye to find them nowadays. He continues to work in the casual game-space as an independent developer, largely working on games in Flash for his website, The Code Zone (www.thecodezone.com). His current scheme is to distribute his games virally on various web-portals and widget platforms. In addition, John writes weekly product reviews and blogs (over ten years old) for www.gamedev.net from his home office where he lives with his wife and daughter in their home in the woods near Lake Grapevine in Texas.

My little contribution to the game-dev world:

There was a contest here in Mexico about creating a game to teach ppl about the danger of drugs.. I didnt make it on time but I finished it anyway..

Héy, what''s that with the olives ?

There was even an OliveOil Game-Studio
(www.oliveoilStudios.com)

...for some reason the server hasn''t been up for weeks.

I'm writing a graphical game creation system that uses C++ DLLs for the games developed for it (it may eventually incorporate a script language). Screenshots of the old version, and a demo made with it, are here:

Tonight or tomorrow, I'll release the source for the DLLs, along with the executable, and a GUI test of the new version.
