beginning C++ Books
I know that this question has probably been posted before by somebody else, but the answers have been varied, so I'm going ask again. What would be a good C++ book for someone with no experience, but also would later like to get into game programming?
Also, does anybody also know whether C++ Primer Plus book is any good?
Thanks.

Get sams teach yourslf C++ in 21 days and once you''ve learnt that get Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus.

c++ primer plus is a really good book! i only went through the first 300 or so pages, but it''s very detailed and gives alot of examples, and at the end of each chapter, there are questions and exercises. but then i switched to "teach yourself c++ in 21 days", and that book also turned out to be helpful. once you have a good understanding of the language, get lamothe''s "tricks of the windows game programming gurus" and start making games!
Anyone got an ebook or something for "Tricks of the Windows Game Programming Gurus"? would realy be helpfull.. im to poor to buy it =P
True hackers are intelligent, they have to be. Either they do really great in school because they have nothing better to do, or they don't do so well because school is terribly boring. And the ones who are bored aren't that way because they don't give a shit about learning anything. A true hacker wants to know everything. They're bored because schools teach the same dull things over and over and over, nothing new, nothing challenging.
ebook wtf do you want with an ebook I cant stand them, you expect to read 1000 pages of the comp, you must be joking, real books are the only way to go!

Ah, Ebooks, what better way to melt your eyeballs out and give you cancer...
As for good beginning C++ books, my advice is just not try with books. Your better off getting a compiler and actually trying something, books make it to easy to just read it, and pretend you've learned it.
I believe the site www.gametutorials.com has excellent beginner and advanced tutorials.

Yeah but youd get sore eyes after a while and with a real book you can take it anywhere... well exept underwater... although technicly you can but it would be trashed when you got it back out...
