I was wondering... how do you pull midi information out of NES Roms?
You don't. NES roms don't use MIDI, but coded music similar to the 'SID' format on the C64. Easiest way to extract the audio is using an emulator that supports audio extraction; I think Nesticle does. Otherwise, head on over to zophar.net and read up on 6502 assembly and the structure of NES roms and rip it out yourself.

Actually, I have Nesticle... but it doesn't seem to want to work with Windows XP. I also have read the stuff on zophar.net, I actually have it printed out in my "Game Development Book". I guess I could give that a shot but I've never done anything like that before...

WAIT!
That sounded a little messed up. zophar I believe has some emulator writing articles and I have THOSE printed out. I didn't know there were NSF files, players and converters there. But that will do. Thanks a lot!
