Why final fantasy is not counted by the oscar?.. because the story is average, but in comparisons with the another movie, it is awesome! (in special the graphics)..

FF suxors ass. The plot was dull, and it didn''t have any FF shit after all. It made me feel like nothing.
If I made the movie, on the other hand, it would''ve been way better.
Now Shrek, I don''t think the expressions were too realistic. I actually thought they where very exaggerated.

FF story is, well, a bit mmmh manga, i''d say. @AdmiralBinary: The first 15min weren''t much more than the destroyed city, but it was infact very very realistic! I knew that the film was 100% CG, but in the first minutes i sat in the cinema and tried really hard to find evidence for that typical CG-look... until the first character appeared on screen, i really would have said this is filmed and not CG.
What do you all have against this movie? It''s really a milestone in CG and definately would be worth at least a nomination for the Oscar! Just think of the cloth and hair animation, it was nearly perfect.

Final Fantasy did Sucked big time, great graphics thats all, proved once again that no good (or even ok) movie comes out from a game, I am specting the worse from Resident Evil, so I dont end up feeling robed when I get out of the theather, and please oh please Blizzard! dont waste time and money in any movie! instead get to work in Starcraft 2!!!!! DAMN! thats what we all really want, not diablo, not warcraft, STARCRAFT!!!!
I like the Final Fantasy movie the best out of the four movies talked about here, brilliant graphics, the first time I saw it I could of sworn the Eagle/bird of prey (forgot what it was) was real, the feathers moved so realistically. The plot could of been better though - Maybe more action/less people dying/more people kicking butt
oh, I''ll watch it, thats for sure, but this time, I''ll go hopping for the worst, unlike all the previous times where I have gone exited to see one of my favorite games come to life, just to wish they had never made the movie when I walk out of the theather.
Street fighter the ANIMATED movie is good. Of course "Street fighter the movie" really suck!. Also Fatal Fury (animated), with the design of Nobuteru Yuuki is really cool.

For this, Monsters Inc is bad.. anyone with only 3dstudio can made some similars to monster inc (plus you need a fur-plugins, but it is only money). There are some 3dstudio tutorial about some ugly ants-like-monsters-inc
Also, Shrek, can be made by a seasoned 3d-artist, in special the forest. But, there are some effect, such chimney effect,that i see the ugly trick that they used (only a plane and animated flame).

For FF, the cg work is superb!.. I think that nobody in this group can made some simmilar.

Well, after having said I dont really like any game movie, and that most of them suck (cartoonish, manga is a different thing to me, I am talking big hollywood productions), I would say Mortal Kombat was not so bad, still I didnt loved it, but I think you have a better chance of making a good movie based on a game that lasts 2 minutes per fight, and its nothing but fights than making a good movie based on a game that is 90 hours worth of story, secrets, magic and plots, which is why FF was such a big disapointment to me, after waitting 6 months to see it at the movies (the premier here was last november 30), I didnt get to see Leviathan, Diablos,Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, etc. neither did I saw any magic, limit breaks or even chocobos, I was wondering if it was FF, on top of that That Dr Aki Ross is a prepotent bitch, didnt liked her character at all.
