Hey everyone!
I just signed up to the GameDev.net forums and I thought I should introduce myslef to you fine people
Well, my name's Tom, I'm 14 and come from Wrexham, North Wales. I bought a book on C++ and I'm currently reading that and learning SDL.
Again, nice to meet you all,
Tom

Hello Tom!

It's great to see that you've chosen Simple DirectMedia Layer(SDL) as your API. I'm also fourteen (15, very soon..), using C++, SDL, and OpenGL. If you ever need some help or have a problem, you can email me at SavestheDay0001@hotmail.com. I'm on pretty often so I'd probably reply quickly. I've been programming in C++ for about 3 years, and SDL for about 4 or 5 months, so I've probably run into some of the same problems you will not to long ago (). Email me for anything!

Also, if you have a problem with SDL, post it in the Cone3D forum.

Good luck!

Heh. Personally, I think it''s better to start older because you have more math expierience. Right now all I have is first level Algebra and some self taught physics. I have a lot of trouble with 3D programming because I don''t know alot about geometry. However, there''s books on geometry that I can read, to educate myself .

If you''re willing to learn, there are no limits. That''s how I look at it.

Yes, the problem about the math looks familiar to me :-)

But my teacher is a nice guy :D so I can always ask him to explain something.
Now I can do some vector and matrix math :D

But it doesn''t matter how old you start. You can always learn something..
