I''ve been trying to access it for a while but have been unable to... Can someone please go to it at http://www.perplexed.com/GPMega and tell me if you can connect to it? Thanks
It seems to stop loading around 25%. Maybe it''s down. I don''t know, I''ve never even been there. Have I missed out?

It''s almost certainly dead and buried

It stopped receiving news updates last August. Around September, it announced that it was "partnering" with another site. Unfortunately, the owner of the other site was a character who was known for being disreputable in the game development industry. It coasted for a couple of months without updates, then went away --likely when they stopped paying their hosting bill.

(my byline from the Gamedev Collection series, which I co-edited) John Hattan has been working steadily in the casual game-space since the TRS-80 days and professionally since 1990. After seeing his small-format games turned down for what turned out to be Tandy's last PC release, he took them independent, eventually releasing them as several discount game-packs through a couple of publishers. The packs are actually still available on store-shelves, although you'll need a keen eye to find them nowadays. He continues to work in the casual game-space as an independent developer, largely working on games in Flash for his website, The Code Zone (www.thecodezone.com). His current scheme is to distribute his games virally on various web-portals and widget platforms. In addition, John writes weekly product reviews and blogs (over ten years old) for www.gamedev.net from his home office where he lives with his wife and daughter in their home in the woods near Lake Grapevine in Texas.

I miss that site. Doesn''t work with me either.
Ya, Now there are lots of broken links to it around the net. They had some articals I wanted to see.

So... ATTENTION: If you wrote any articals for the GP Mega Site send them to GameDev instead

FWIW, I saw the demise of GPMega coming, so I downloaded every article posted there and I''m in the process of converting them, getting permission, and posting them here. If any of the authors of those articles sees this and hasn''t heard from me, drop me an e-mail and let me know if it''s okay to post them here.

Yeah, nice little advertisement, huh? And what would be the similarities between your odd looking page and GPMega??

Um, don''t know if this means anything as I havn''t a clue as to how these things work, but I just saw a banner for GPMega at http://www.adventuregamer.com/, didn''t work and had the same URL as before on teh graphic.
Spiff - I believe he was referring to GameDev. And I agree. It is much better.
