where can I download an avi editor that will open the frames of an avi and let me change/add pictures from maybe psp or photoshop? I''m trying to do 2d things between scenes in a 3d avi I''ve made using bryce. ie text, transitions, etc. thanks! Sponge Factory --Muzlack

Sounds like you need a nonlinear editing package. The cream of the crop is of Adobe Premeire, it costs over $500 where I live.

You might also try Edit Studio at www.puremotion.com. It can do just about everything Premeire can do but it only costs £59.

But if you want a freebie, then try Virtual Dub. I dont know the addy but goto www.vcdhelp.com and search for it there.

Other free tools you could try are RadTools smacker.com which lets you convert back and forth between avi/mov/smk/bnk and bmp or VirtualDub (freeware, sorry no link, just search google) which is excellent for avi editing, though I''ve never used it for individual frame insertion (could be done)
