Home Work n' printf()

Hello For my homework I needed to take in a name (first last) and do buch of display stuff with printf(). what I am stuck on is how to get output line that is exactly X2 the length of the last name ex: printf("%(strlen(lastName)*2)s ", lastName); this does not work.....what will?

A couple principles to address:
I agree that giving him the solution to his problem is morally incorrect. But giving him an example and GOOD information that might be found in a book is NOT. If you don''t help him he''ll just get it from another book. It''s either you or the author of a good reference book.
