Hi I was hoping somebody Could put me in the right direction as what I should go about doing if im interested. from Brett

Draw. A lot. Draw from life, copy other people''s stuff (by eye, don''t trace), draw from your imagination. Sketch. Doodle. Don''t erase too much. Buy stacks of cheap sketchbooks and be prepared to fill them a lot of really sucky drawings. Have faith that they''ll improve... because if you keep drawing, they will.

As far as computer generated goes:

Start with a book to get the basics, you can probably get one for about $20 if its from the previous version. (Which doesn''t matter much for just the basics)


After that look at some intermediate and advanced tutorials. Read them, and repeat them. Eventually you can use what you learned in tutorials in other art that you do.

I prefer to stay away from plugins, I do have some for tiling, etc.. But other than that, plugins make a lazy untalented artist. Learn how to do it without plugins, then consider using a plugin to make life easy for you.

After that it is a practice and getting experience...
