Solid Snake is a name more suited to a porn actor, don''t you think?

-Mezz
And Liquid Snake is, perhaps, more suited to, say, Bob Dole? =).

I always considered "Chopper Attack" one of the worst game names. Sure it makes more sense than most of those translated-from-japanese titles, but come on!
"OK, so what should we call the game where you fly around in the chopper and attack things?"

and is the "Bad Dudes" someone mentioned the same as the arcade game "Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja"?

oh gosh yes funny. and admittedly Final Fantasy 1, 2 etc. Is a rather lame way to name a game. They would have named it
"Final Fantasy: Subtitle that pertains to this version of the game which follows and shares no storyline with any other final fantasy game in existance."

when yo uthinbk about it. final fight guy, pronouced the otehr way (gee) it''s french, it sounds even funnier: final fight gee. ha. maybe it''s supposed to be Final Fight, Guy. Like "Woah, man." and they made typos.
I always thought Ultima was a dumb name and when you consider how bad the old super nintendo game was. jeesh.
what was i thinking of earlier that was good. . .

well Clay Fighter 63 3/4 is pretty funny at first, but when you think abotu it it doesn''t make the game any better. and the hwole "64" era where everythingwasname "title" 64. that was very dumb

oh yes, Parapa the Rapper, and the game is so dumb, they must have spent like three minutes making it

Star Trek 17: The search for a plot
Something said in Duke Nukem: Land of the Babes, it just stuck in my mind.

Rayman, do people actually play that?
And the Sonic games on the mega drive, uh, they were all the same with the EXACT same storylies and gameplay, even the level design was the same for most levels!

Sure theres was some variations but....
"Though i walk through the valley of the shadow of death, iwill fear no evil, for i am the meanest motherfucker in the valley."
The Sim- games?

Like, SimCity was cool...

Then there was SimEarth, not too bad, but the beginning of a terrible trend.

SimAnt? SimCopter? What''s next, SimAss?

They need to drop the Sim prefix. It''s done!

PaRappa the Rapper was a very cool and very innovative game. It''s a classic.

Thanks to Kylotan for the idea!
The stupidest title I ever encountered was a game for SNES called

Hey Punk, Are you Tuff Enuff?

I almost bought it just for that title.
How about ''Skittles: Darkened Skye" ?
Yes, this is actually an upcoming game based on a candy license.

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.

Max Payne is the corniest name ever.

But don''t you hope you would''ve invented it?

To those who think Final Fantasy is a stupid name; there''s actually a story behind that name. A programmer was leaving SquareSoft for greener lands and he was given his last opportunity to make a game for SquareSoft. So he decided to name it his ''Final Fantasy''. Knowing this it makes a little more sense, though it doesn''t explain all the dozen of them...

Oh, did you ever see "Attack of the killer tomatos"? Now *that* is a stupid name in the deepest meaning of the word.
