Hi, If I bought a suitable crap graphics card and monitor, would it automatically be set into text mode and accessible through segment b700h? All i want to be able to do is access this memory to write text on the screen. I know how - it''s in andre lamothe''s WGPFD book...but what setup would I need? thx

Assuming you are talking about a monochrome card, then yes it should work. It worked without a hitch on my old computer...

What if the video card is color, and Monitor, could it be set in a resolution so it would be the same?
