Hi all , I am new to Game Programming actually i am new to even programming , I will start with C but i need to ask how should i gradually learn Game Programming This is what i thought 1) Learn C programming 2) Learn 3D mathematics ( or c comes before this?) 3) Buy AndreLamothe''s Book 4) Practise... Is this the right way Please Help.. Thanks in Advance..
yup, you might put somewhere in between learning c++ basics (or more if you like) and also learn about win32api, 2d graphic basics, physics and all kind of random things often user. It will take you few years thru... good luck on your journey!
PS.books help with learning both programming and mathematics, so you might want to buy lamonthe book after you learn C basics... Beggining with something like "graphics programming for idiots" (or what''s the name) might be better thru for the beggining. Also learning windows programming is a must.(and do it before learning 2d/3d programming...)

you''re never to old.

have fun.
yep, you''re never too old. You might not be the next best thing to Carmack anytime soon, but you might still become a great games programmer in several years. It requires a lot of work thru, but this work is rewarding.

Like the Tao of programming says:
"after three days without programming life becomes meaningless"
