Update? Horror is more like it!
Hello folks. I’ve made good progress on entity scripting and mission scripting and bug fixes. It’s much more fun to develop when many of the annoying tiny bugs you never get around to fixing are finally fixed.
Still, I should be further along than I am and I’m going to take you down a VERY DARK road and tell you why I’m behind schedule.
My real name is Michael Preston Joseph. I was a full scholarship basketball player for Penn State from 1991 to 1995. I’m 6’9 1/4″ and I played backup center behind John Amaechi who was my roommate the last three years. I might have had an outside chance to play professionally but a bad knee surgery at the end of my sophomore year ended those aspirations. I still played my last two years but it was not fun at that point.
I started to teach myself C during my last summer there in 95 with the goal of making a Battle tech game. But when I discovered Visual Basic 4 I dropped C and never looked back.
After I graduated I moved to Bellevue, WA to live with my mom. I started the first website for a game by SSI/Mindscape called Su27 Flanker. One of the members on the mailing list (David Combs) I ran for the website I noticed had a @microsoft.com address so I emailed him and asked if he could get me a job and he said “send me your resume.” I was interviewed onsite at the Red West A building on my birthday and I started contracting in the Sports Games Group for the next three years. I learned so much there during that time. Key was the demystifyication of game development which lead me to believe I could create my own game someday.
So I left my contract position at Microsoft in 1998 for several reasons (despite being encouraged to apply for an open Test Lead position). Yes I was bored with testing but thel ( primary reason was I had very debilitating anxiety and severe and embarrassing halitosis. It got to the point where I just wanted to work from home by myself and that’s what I attempted. So the first project I wrote was GURPS Vehicle Designer in Visual Basic 6.0. It was an officially licensed from Steve Jackson Games software and I sold about 800 copies.
I tried to embark on a large project which was a precursor to SciFi command but I was unable to get a team of revenue share volunteers to stick together. So after 2 wasted years I resolved to write it all myself with the exception of any 3rd party libraries and middleware I could use.
But my money had run out and I got a job driving a taxi for North End Taxi. I explicitly picked a job that was not in IT because I didn’t want to work with computers all day and then try to work on my project after that. I drove 4-5 days a week day shift for 3 years. I then switched to nights and the money was MUCH better… In fact I only needed to drive 2 nights a week to make enough to pay all my bills. That left five days a week to develope my space simulation.
Ok, I have to fast forward. I’m doing all this typing for last 2 weeks on my android phone (which is a compromised phone, but I have no other option).
I AM BEING GANGSTALKED AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT THEIR ENDGAME IS.
I really need financial assistance right now to be blunt.
Believe it or not, both of my sisters are working with these criminals and they’ve all been manipulating me and conditioning me to be suspicious of literally everything.
I’m sorry I jumped to this very real and very alarming gangstalking that is happening to me, but I need to finish typing and post this blog entry. I may come back and edit it later but I need to put this up first.
