Have you read "Physics for Game Developers" yet?
Title by: David M. Bourg, Published Nov. 01
The table of contents covers the basics and there are some downloadable demos on the publishers site.
Has anyone read this?? Only 2 reads at Amazon.com rated this, one 2/5, the other 4/5. Hard to tell so far but its on sale, less %30!
Ive pretty much forgot all that stuff: calculus and physics about 4 years ago.

Chapter 6 was posted recently to Gamedev and elsewhere as a PDF file. I looked at it and found it disappointing: go here for my thoughts on it. If this is the chapter they chose to promote the book it suggests the rest of the book is even less impressive, and so is probably not worth getting.

Mine is at the postoffice, haven''t fetched it yet.
Going there later today.

TO johnb:
I skimmed through that chapter 6 here on gamedev, and just at first glance it did seem like the chapter was taking an oftely long time on the subject. In other words, seemed like he was making things harder then they should be for projectile movement.
Was this your impression as well, since you didnt really say what your complaint was under the "article comments" thread??
to Anders:
Cool, when you look over your new book, would you mind posting your thoughts?
Er, holiday and stuff kept me from getting the book till now..
Haven''t read the whole book either, but dont judge the book from one single chapter.
From what I''ve read it feels like an alright book. I''m a newbie when it comes to physics and stuff, so it probably a basic book. I mean, one chapter on aircraft dynamics.. That could really be one book alone. If you already made an ultra cool 3d rigid body simulator, I''d say you''d be dissapointed in this book when it comes to learn new things.
But as I''m a newbie, I like it.
