I went to a meet and greet conference and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.

I got the virtual pass. First it is called all access, but you can only view a small subset of all talks. The first three days I was not able to watch anything at all, because something was wrong with my account. I reached out to the Help Desk and got an appointment, but nobody showed up. Horrible! In terms of talks nothing interesting really. Pretty disappointing…

Thanks. It looks like I saved money and didn't risk getting COVID.

(You'd think by now that someone would have large virtual conventions working as immersive 3D environments, but no. They're mostly just web sites and Zoom.)

If you think it cannot get any worse the GDC does not let you down. I just wanted to watch a talk on animation from nVidia right now and they were showing an old talk from Wednesday instead. I can't believe this… Haha
