I see the connection between the blockchain and the gaming industry only through using the first one to raise money for the development of a project in the form of buying a specific token. 

Why would you use a block chain to raise money when there is Kickstarter?

Block chains solve exactly one problem: How to reach consensus between multiple, disparate, actors, who do not inherently trust each other.

Because my Kickstarter will struggle  to make $10k while my revolutionary block chain ICO will raise $10M ?
