Does anyone know of any MODs that have been finished? Whats the deal with getting hold of one, are they sold or just downloaded off the net? Ive seen several brilliant looking ones recently (esp Halflife and Quake MODS) but have never met anyone who has ever played one (?). Cheers, Jon

I''ve played They Hunger123(for HL)and some other Doom mods,etc.

Go to www.planethalflife.com They will have links to finished and downloadable mods.

PC Gamer puts Half-Life or UT mods on their magazine CD from time to time.

You can go to the store and buy counter-strike - which is a half-life mod.

if you have got quake3, go to www.truecombat.com for a good mod in (public) beta stages.

I've played about 50 HL mods, mostly single player. They Hunger, USS Darkstar, Todesangst, Assault on Roswell, Case Closed, and many others. But I do play some multiplayer mods too (CS, TFC, DoD).

I don't believe you've never met a person who's played a mod before, you must not know very many people. Why don't you try making your own mod?

yeah, about all I play is mods. Take Tribes 2 for instance, I don''t like the game, but a mod came out call Base that corrected everyone''s complaints, and it''s great. Counter-Strike is a mod. Urban Terror is one of the best for Q3.
