Frame buffering and VSync is there for a reason, to keep updates looking smooth. Ditch that, and you may see visual artifacts such as stuttering of moving objects or tearing. Or, you may not. Just be aware that there's no free lunch.
Drawing point seems to lag behind...
I actually went back to D2D1_PRESENT_OPTIONS_NONE because this way caps how often a new frame is presented to my screen refresh rate (so caps at 60 fps), with Immediate it was running at 5k+ fps and I thought it wasn't wise having the GPU working that hard
