Solo developers - How has it worked out for you?

I would say, Gameplay sells itself.

Marketing helps. but dont waste your time on making 25 shitty games. Make 1 good game, that you enjoy playing, community will build itself.

That's my 2 cents. I'm probably wrong. But that's what I'm aiming for.
